Warsaw Spire is one of the most important investments in Europe. It is Poland’s largest office complex in terms of area and the tallest building in the country. Warsaw Spire is also the largest Belgian investment in Poland, realized by Ghelamco that has been operating on the Polish market for 24 years. The complex was designed by a renown Belgian architecture studio M. & J-M. Jaspers – J. Eyers & Partners. It is an excellent example of successful cooperation and excellent business relations between Poland and Belgium. Warsaw Spire worth is estimated at 300m EUR.

The King Philippe visited also the construction site of European Square – the first public urban square of such scale in post-war history of Warsaw. The area of almost 1,5 ha will become an integral city space harmoniously combining commercial and public functions. The project was created by an acknowledged Belgian studio Wirtz International Landscape Architects.

King Philippe, together with the official delegation, payed a visit to a 220-meters tall Warsaw Spire tower building, where an exhibition "Belgian projects on the Polish real estate market and the construction industry since 1989" was held. The exhibition was organized by the representatives of Investment & Trade of Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels at Embassy of Belgium, the Belgian Chamber of Commerce in Poland and Ghelamco to present 23 Belgian companies successfully operating in Poland. The King of the Belgians also admired the panorama of Warsaw from an impressive height of the tallest office building in Poland.

Paul Gheysens, Owner & CEO at Ghelamco in his speech underlined close cooperation between the countries. He paid special attention to the dynamic development of the Polish capital and its leading role in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. He added that Ghelamco has been contributing to the development of Warsaw for 24 years delivering the upmost quality projects complemented according to the requirements of sustainable development defining new standards on the Polish office real estate market.

Ghelamco Poland is one of the biggest Belgian investors in the CEE region and an outstanding representative of the Belgium entrepreneurship in Poland. Since 1991 as an investor, developer and general contractor, the company has commissioned more than 600,000 sq m of the highest class commercial space, and the value of completed projects exceeded EUR 1.5 billion. The developer is also active on the retail and residential market. The hallmark of the company is its innovative character and the highest quality of the projects as well as conscious and responsible approach to creating public space.

Ghelamco Poland’s flagship project is Warsaw Spire, currently the biggest office complex under construction in Poland. The investment equals to three or four standard office projects and is emerging in Wola, the fastest developing district of Warsaw. The project consists of three buildings, which together provide more than 100,000 sq m of modern office space: a 49-storey tower building A, whose top floors will reach a height of 180 meters (220 meters from the spires) and two 55-meter high neighboring buildings B and C (each 15 floors). Thanks to the visionary project which assumes creation of European Square – a new urban space between the buildings of the complex, Warsaw Spire is also one of the most anticipated investments in Poland.

European Square will be the first of this scale public urban square in the post-war history of Warsaw. In the area of 15,000 s qm, in the immediate vicinity of the second metro line Rondo Daszyńskiego, emerges an oasis of greenery with water installations, art passage as well as cafes and restaurants. The concept of European Square, unique in scale and quality, will create a new, attractive place for meetings and leisure, harmoniously combining business functions and public. Thanks to the vision of the Belgian architects, Ghelamco’s investment is a unique project and will become a value added for Warsaw and its inhabitants.
