In Poland, Ghelamco has been providing the market with the type of high-standard projects that all clients demand. Ghelamco is the first developer in Poland to introduce the prestigious BREEAM certificate. This is Europe's most popular eco-certificate and Ghelamco has made it standard for all of its buildings.

The first building in Poland to be granted a BREEAM certificate, in 2010, was Ghelamco’s investment in Warsaw for the Trinity Park III office building, which delivered 30,500 m2 of modern business space. 
Ghelamco's second BREEAM certificate and also Poland’s second, was obtained at the 16,000 m2 Crown Square office (2010).

The third certificated building was Katowice Business Point (2011), located in the centre of Silesia's capital city and offering 17,000 m2. All of the projects awarded BREEAM certification received a 'VERY GOOD' rating. 
As the market leader, Ghelamco continues to design and construct eco-efficient projects. All of its latest investments are designed to ecological standards. Currently, the group has four further investments: Mokotow Nova, Senator, Warsaw Spire and Marynarska 12 – all of which are involved in the BREEAM certification process.

In addition to BREEAM certification, Ghelamco also cooperates actively with Green Building Programme run by the European Commission. The Senator and Mokotów Nova projects are already Partners of this respected initiative.

In Belgium, Ghelamco is also a pioneering in the development of green office & retail projects.

In Leuven, Ghelamco has received a BREEAM VERY GOOD certificate for the Vander Elst project( 17.000m2 of retail and office space). What is more, the Vander Elst project is the fist multi-tenant building on the local market to receive this accreditation.
